WC Water Level Meter

The water level meter shown above is the least expensive electronic water level meter available in the US today. To use the instrument simply unwind the waterproof probe down into the waterwell and listen for the electronic tone that sounds from the beeper on the reel when the probe touches water. The distance from the wellhead to the static water level is then determined by reading the markings on the long wire. There are marks every five feet on the wire. Marks are hand written onto the wire with a black sharpie pen that has long lasting waterproof ink. Accuracy to the foot can be obtained by measuring the distance to the nearest five foot mark. The battery is quickly replaceable without tools.

This instrument is made for homeowners or other individuals with just a few wells to monitor. It is however very reliable and will give many years of use with reasonable care and dry storage beween measuring events. It is not designed for the groundwater professional.
